My homie Dayta put me on to this video a few weeks ago. Here is a little about it from NO MAS.

In celebration of the greatest athletic achievement by a man on a psychedelic journey, No Mas and artist James Blagden proudly present the animated tale of Dock Ellis' legendary LSD no-hitter. In the past few years weve heard all too much about performance enhancing drugs from greenies to tetrahydrogestrinone, and not enough about performance inhibiting drugs. If our evaluation of the records of athletes like Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, Marion Jones, and Barry Bonds needs to be revised downwards with an asterisk, we submit that that Dock Ellis record deserves a giant exclamation point. Of the 263 no-hitters ever thrown in the Big Leagues, we can only guess how many were aided by steroids, but we can say without question that only one was ever thrown on acid.

Sadly, the great Dock Ellis died last December at 63. A year before, radio producers Donnell Alexander and Neille Ilel, had recorded an interview with Ellis in which the former Pirate right hander gave a moment by moment account of June 12, 1970, the day he no-hit the San Diego Padres. Alexander and Ilels original four minute piece appeared March 29, 2008 on NPRs Weekend America. When we stumbled across that piece this past June, Blagden and Isenberg were inspired to create a short animated film around the original audio.

This car collab came out a few months ago and I'm assuming you have all ready seen this. If not, Jeff STAPLE along with KIA collaborated together on a KIA SOUL. The results turned out really nice. If anyone knows me well you all ready know I HATE CARS. (cash black hole) But if I had the option of picking a brand new car right now based on looks alone I think this would get my choice. Great design idea of incorporating a rain camo into the paint scheme of this car (SOUL).

A LITTLE ON THE EVENT...
Red Bull 45s - an event that takes a piece of record history and remixes it into an innovative evolution of the traditional DJ competition. The event pays tribute to yesteryear by tasking DJs with competing against each other using only the 7-inch 45 rpm records popular in the 1950s and 1960s. The competition format places four DJs in four opposite corners of the venue, with the crowd in the middle. Each DJ spins for no more than four minutes on 45 rpm records, with each subsequent DJ attempting to match the last beat of the previous DJ - without the help of any beat-matching programs. The goal of the event is to revive the once revered 45 rpm record while tasking DJs to use all their imagination and expertise to create a seamless and continuous flow of music. At the end of the event, one DJ will be declared the winner based on both his musical creativity and technical skill.

Don't get it twisted we love to switch the vibes up and play all types of music!!

This Friday we hold the "HOLIDAY ESPECIAL" which we will be excepting donations for our good friend Inyang. He is a cousin, a friend, a mentor, and a good dude! He recently suffered multiple blood clots and while this was all happening a small stroke. He is out of the hospital and is making a speedy recovery. During all of this he was unable to work and is faced with medical bills (thanks American healthcare). Please stop by and donate even if it's $5, anything will help.
